gold label process
Design Consultation
- Initial discussion will cover your personal expectations/vision and details for the garment/event.
- We will discuss body shape, personal likes and dislikes as well as fabrics, colours and finishes.
- Mathieu will then determine the most suitable silhouette and fabrics for you and create an initial design.
2nd Visit
- A completed selection of designs will be presented with recommended fabrics.
- Based on these, Mathieu we will finalise the design with you.
- Once you are happy and decide to proceed, 30% deposit is required. Further part-payments of up to 75% of the total will be required during the production of your garment/s.
- An appointment will be agreed for your 1st fitting. Depending on the complexity of garment, there will be 3 – 6 fittings.
1st Fitting
- You will try a ‘toile’ or calico pattern, which will be fitted and styled on you, before your fabric is cut. During this process the design is further developed in consultation with you. This may be repeated depending on the complexity of garment.
- Shoes and undergarments are required for all fittings, as both can affect posture/body shape and in turn the fit of the garment.
Middle Fittings
- Your garment begins to take shape and during these fittings the design is perfected.
- Any minimal changes* will be made during these appointments.
Final Fitting
The garment is finished and available for collection at the final fitting
- All finishes, fit and hemline are checked by the designer with you.
- Final payment is made upon the collection of garment.
*Note: Changes to the design, fabrics or finishes may carry an additional charge and any such changes will be confirmed and agreed between the designer and client before proceeding.
